Are we talking about AndaPanda? That was an impulse decision honouring my younger self who couldn't get the handle on any platform but wow, first in, I can do ANYTHING! It's a nickname from a garbled version of "the name game" song. I'm sticking with it because I'm in too deep with it now and I think it reflects the spirit of play and youthful excitement I feel when using DrawnTogether.

I'm rain.handed everywhere else. This is inspired by the e.e. cummings poem "somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond" and mirrors my desire to be like the rain, nourishing and gently helping closed buds to bloom inside myself and others.

Exquisite corpse is my go to ice breaker for new classes or groups, and the noises that you hear when the three part sections are revealed stay with me: the giggles, the "ooh!"s, the stories that spring from the unexpected pairings. But beyond that it has been especially meaningful in moments when I want to connect without words. I have sent friends care packages of drawings with covered sections when they've been hospitalized to bring them some whimsy, some connection, and something to focus their attention on during a hard time.

Creating is a necessity for me. Sure, it can be driven by pure curiosity and delight, but it's also the lifeline I grab at when I'm having a hard time navigating my mental health. Practices that relate to surrealist automatism in particular can ground me like few other things in this world can. And then l have something interesting or beautiful to look at when it's all over. Dopamine, baby.
